ABOUT DR. GAINES-MONTGOMERY
Dr. LaTonya Gaines-Montgomery is an accomplished professor, experienced school and central office administrator, experienced instructional coach, teacher, and consultant. Dr. Gaines-Montgomery is a native North Carolinian that has over 15 years of experience in the field of education. Dr. Gaines-Montgomery started her journey as a lay worker in the children's ministry at her local church. She decided from that experience that she wanted to teach and support others with learning. Dr. Gaines-Montgomery has had a myriad of experiences in the field of education including Assistant Director of a Childcare Facility, Teacher, Dean of Students, Instructional and Title I Coach, Consultant, Mentor, and Professor. She loves to support teachers, other instructional coaches, leaders, and other community stakeholders with engaging and effective strategies that support the growth and development of others.
Dr. Gaines-Montgomery is married with three amazing children. Dr. Gaines-Mointgomery is a believer in Jesus Christ and desires to be light and love in every place that she enters. She believes that all children can learn with consistent data-driven and research-based instructional and relational practices.
Her ultimate goal is to engage all stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to make sound decisions, employ powerful strategies, and achieve their desired end goals.
